What I thought about
it……
I
spent till dawn watching Marry Him If You Dare.
At
first I had really no interest watching it but I’m dying waiting for the new
episode of Healer that I decided to watch something. I had lots of movies,
animes and dramas in my hard drive and in those hundreds of folders, it caught my
attention.
I
really enjoy it and if you love romantic comedy and Korean drama with love
triangle then you’ll definitely enjoy it too. Yeah, I know. There are many
negative comments saying it’s just a waste of time or the actors didn’t do a
good a job. It’s not for them to decide what you thought. It’s for you. Don’t
be that person that judges something before they even got to know it. I read
somewhere before that you’ll know you’ll enjoy a series after watching up to
three episodes. If you really don’t like it till then, then drop it and don’t
waste your time.
I
am not writing it defend the series. I really am just disappointed with the
feedback. Everyone has their own taste anyway.
What I can say about
the ending……
This
is where most the negative feedback is about. Everyone is saying that they are confused
or the ending really sucks. Some are saying that the writer did a lazy job and
there are many flaws and unresolved issues.
Well
even I, are a bit confused.
But
I don’t think the ending sucks.
It
just ended in a one of many possibilities.
(I
am warning you now….there might be
some spoilers ahead)
The
ending is an open one. They didn’t tell who she end up with.
There.
The shocking truth is out.
But
before you judge it I tell you this. I am satisfied with her choice.
I
know the title of episode 16 said Mi-rae’s Choice but she didn’t choose either
of the leading man. I would do that too, because everyone is wrong. She already
made a choice.
She
chose herself.
She needed that, needed to let go the two of them and even her
brother because all this time she’s just depending on them even though she kept
repeating that she’ll not be like that. It was the turning point that differ
from her future self’s choice because in that future world, she immediately got
married. I don’t think their self back there is matured enough for stuff
like that and that’s why it ended badly.
I’ll
tell you this. This series has really many flows and unresolved issue. And I still
like it.
And
I bet even Se-Joo and Seo Kyung’s marriage didn’t turn out that well because Se
Joo definitely has some fixing to do with his obsession and with the stuffs
going on around him as a chaebol. Don’t get me wrong I love him here and I like
Seo Kyung also. But I don’t ship them because Seo Kyung didn’t deserve him. She’s
the only character here that acts maturely. And I like her better with Kim Shin.
They are both mature enough to let go the person they love for their happiness.
And
this is really where everyone got confused….
Who
did Mi-rae really end up with?
The
writer didn’t tell us because they want us to choose the ending. That’s how I
viewed it and as a writer, I often thought of ending love triangles like that
too. It’s really hard to choose between two deserving person and I don’t want
to disappoint the other party by choosing the other one.
But
sad to say this…..Seo Joo
definitely is the one she ends up with. Why??
· * They
meet first – ok I know it
has nothing to do with her feelings but still I think fate brought them
together. The future Mirae didn’t do anything for Seo Joo to fall for her. It
was on his own.
· * There
are more scenes of them together – I’ll fight everyone who will say they
don’t fit. They do! Can’t anyone see the love vibes whenever they are together?
And frankly I don’t see that romantic feeling between Mirae and Kim Shin except
whenever the other is jealous.
· * She
didn’t break up with Seo Joo even though his mother threatened her- if she really
loves Kim Shin she would break up with Seo Joo when his mother told her she will
end his career. That's also where I can tell that she might already be falling for Seo Joo.
· * She
still has the ring – she said she
will become a better person for Seo Joo, right? Plus she ended it cleanly with
Kim Shin. I know saying that she might date him after he paid off his debt,
still, why didn’t they continually meet on those three years? If she really
loves him she will come running back to him in spite of everything.
· *The
day on December 24 – so who do you
think she saw first? It was definitely Seo Joo because she only smiles like that whenever
when she’s with him. Have you ever noticed that she smiles more around Seo Joo?
· * Lastly
the picture of her son – that’s
definitely not Gun. And he looked like Seo Joo :3
Sorry guys I’m pro Seo Joo because I
think they just fit each other like a puzzle.
This is an open ending so you can still hope that she ended up with Kim Shin if you're pro him or she can end up with neither of them too. This is why open ending is fun, you can imagine many possibilities.
